Couple harassed for performing ‘black magic’ at Khammam

Khammam: Accusing an elderly couple of performing black magic, locals at SC Colony in the district forced an aged man to pull out his wife’s teeth.
Sources said the locals accused the couple, G Mohan Rao (75) and Sarojini (68), of performing black magic and have been attacking them physically for the past few days.
On Monday evening, one of their neighbours came to the couple’s residence and forced Mohan Rao to pull out Sarojini’s teeth.
The couple lodged a complaint with local police on Tuesday. They said their grandson was ill for the past few days and following the advice of a priest, they had performed some religious rituals to cure him. But their neighbours accused them of performing black magic, the couple said.
Based on their complaint, the local police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
