Yadadri-Bhongir/Nalgonda: A husband and wife died in a lightning strike at Lingogigudem in the limits of Choutuppal municipality in Yadadri-Bhongir district late on Monday evening.

Bandaru karunakar Reddy (62), a farmer, and his wife Venamma(57) died on the spot when lightning struck them while they were working in their agriculture field.


Choutuppal police shifted the bodies of the victims to Bhongir area hospital for postmortem.

Couple killed in road accident

A couple died on the spot when a TSRTC bus ran over them on National Highway No. 65 at Uppalaphad stage in Kethepally mandal.

The victims were identified as Chelagani Anjaneyulu (60) and his wife Yadamma(57), natives of Ambaripeta of Shaligowraram mandal in the district.

The couple was crossing the road when the Hyderabad-bound bus ran over them, killing them on the spot.
