Couple’s wish fulfilled as KCR names their son on Vaikunta Ekadasi
On Vaikunta Ekadasi, a couple from Parigi constituency saw their long-cherished wish fulfilled when BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao named their youngest son ‘Suman’. Dodla Narasimulu, who was active in the Telangana movement, and his wife Anitha had resolved that their leader would name the child.
Hyderabad: A couple’s long-cherished wish to have their son named by BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was fulfilled on the auspicious occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi on Tuesday.
Dodla Narasimulu, a resident of Mallepally village in Parigi constituency, had actively participated in the separate Telangana movement. Narasimulu and his wife Anitha had resolved that their youngest son would be named by their leader.
The couple, along with family members, met the BRS chief at his residence in Nandi Nagar here on Tuesday, where he welcomed them warmly.
As per the couple’s request and following the advice of a Vedic scholar, besides taking into account the baby’s birth star, Chandrashekhar Rao named the child ‘Suman’. He blessed the infant affectionately and wished him a long and healthy life.
In the past, several admirers of Chandrashekhar Rao have approached him with similar requests to name their children.
Meanwhile, the former Chief Minister had a busy day with hundreds of supporters, well-wishers and party cadres from across the State calling on him in Hyderabad and taking selfies, which he obliged cheerfully.
