Court orders life imprisonment for Lalu Prasad in 2023 Miyapur murder case

A local court sentenced Lalu Prasad Yadav to life imprisonment and imposed a Rs 5,000 fine for the murder of E Praveen near Miyapur Bus Stop in February 2023. The killing followed a drunken quarrel over Rs 2,000.

Hyderabad: A local court on Thursday sentenced one Lalu Prasad Yadav to life imprisonment for murdering one E Praveen near the Miyapur Bus Stop in February 2023.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on him.

Lalu Prasad Yadav had attacked Praveen with a beer bottle and a granite stone during a drunken quarrel over Rs 2,000 he had lent to the victim. The body was found behind the bus stop with severe head injuries.

Lalu Prasad Yadav was arrested two days after the incident.
