Covid-19: 116 new cases and no fatality in Telangana

A total of 165 persons recovered on Sunday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,95,387 with a recovery rate of 98.80 per cent.

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 116 new Covid-19 infections and no fatality on Sunday taking the total number of positive cases is 2,98,923 while the cumulative number fatalities remained at 1,634.

As on Sunday, there were 1,902 active Covid-19 cases in the State.


A total of 165 persons recovered on Sunday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,95,387 with a recovery rate of 98.80 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 97.2 per cent.

Between Saturday and Sunday, 20,375 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 276 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 87,21,026 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,98,923 have tested positive and 2,95,387 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included four from Adilabad, two from Bhadradri, 26 from areas under GHMC, five from Jagtiyal, one from Bhupalpally, eight from Karimnagar, one from Khammam, three from Mahabubnagar, two from Mahabubabad, four from Mancherial, three from Medak, 11 from Medchal Malkajgiri, one each from Nagarkurnool and Nalgonda, four from Nizamabad, one from Peddapalli, three from Siricilla, 11 from Rangareddy, seven from Sangareddy, one each from Siddipet and Suryapet, three from Vikarabad, two from Warangal Rural, eight from Warangal Urban and three from Yadadri.
