Covid-19: 1,436 new cases and six fatalities in Telangana

A total of 2,154 persons have recovered on Saturday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,98,790 with a recovery rate of 89.5 per cent.

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 1,436 new Covid-19 infections and six fatalities on Saturday, taking the overall toll to 1271 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2, 22,111.

As on Saturday, there were 22,050 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

A total of 2,154 persons have recovered on Saturday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,98,790 with a recovery rate of 89.5 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 88 per cent.

Between Friday and Saturday, 41,043 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 965 samples are awaited. So far, a total of 38,30,503 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,22,111 have tested positive and 1,98,790 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 12 from Adilabad, 77 from Bhadradri, 249 from areas under GHMC, 27 from Jagtiyal, 21 from Jangaon, 18 from Bhupalpally, 11 from Gadwal, 34 from Kamareddy, 76 from Karimnagar, 78 from Khammam, 16 from Asifabad, 30 each from Mahabubnagar and Mahabubabad, 23 from Mancherial, 20 from Medak, 105 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 21 from Mulugu, 24 from Nagarkurnool, 75 from Nalgonda, three from Narayanpet, 21 from Nirmal, 30 from Nizamabad , 20 from Peddapally, 27 from Siricilla, 110 from Rangareddy, 34 from Sangareddy, 67 from Siddipet, 28 from Suryapet, 25 from Vikarabad, 21 from Wanaparthy, 24 from Warangal Rural, 59 from Warangal Urban and 20 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
