COVID-19: 1498 new cases and six fatalities in Telangana on Monday

So far, the total number of positive cases in Telangana since the pandemic is 3,14,735 while as on Sunday, the number of active cases has shot-up to 9,993 across the State.

Hyderabad: The spike in Covid-19 cases in Telangana continued on Monday with 1,498 new cases and six fatalities.

Areas under GHMC have reported 313 new Covid-19 infections while other urban centres including Medchal-Malkajgiri has reported 164 infections, Nizamabad has reported 142 cases while 128 cases were reported from Rangareddy district and another 85 new infections from Nirmal district.

So far, the total number of positive cases in Telangana since the pandemic is 3,14,735 while as on Sunday, the number of active cases has shot-up to 9,993 across the State. The number of positive cases under home quarantine is 5,323 across the State.

A total of 245 persons recovered on Monday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 3, 03, 013 with a recovery rate of 96.27 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 92.5 percent.

Between Sunday and Monday, 62,350 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 1866 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 1,04, 98,347 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 3,14,735 have tested positive and 3, 03, 013 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 26 from Adilabad, nine from Bhadradri, 313 from areas under GHMC, 60 from Jagtiyal, 16 Jangaon, seven from Bhupalpally, nine from Gadwal, eight from Kamareddy, 46 from Karimnagar, 36 from Khammam, seven from Asifabad, 22 from Mahabubnagar, six from Mahabubabad, 34 from Mancherial, 21 from Medak, 164 from Medchal Malkajgiri, five from Mulugu, 16 from Nagarkurnool, 45 from Nalgonda, six from Narayanpet, 85 from Nirmal, 142 from Nizamabad, 22 from Peddapalli, 43 from Siricilla, 128 from Rangareddy, 29 from Sangareddy, 19 from Siddipet, 42 from Suryapet, 25 from Vikarabad, 16 from Wanaparthy, 62 Warangal Urban and 29 from Yadadri.
