Covid-19: 197 new cases reported in Telangana
Between Friday and Saturday, 29,560 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 590 samples were awaited

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 197 new Covid-19 infections and one fatality on Saturday taking the overall toll to 1,589 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,93,253. As of Thursday, there were 3,389 active Covid-19 cases in the State. A total of 376 persons recovered on Saturday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,88,275 with a recovery rate of 98 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 96.6 per cent.
Between Friday and Saturday, 29,560 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 590 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 76,62,540 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,93,253 have tested positive and 2,88,275 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included five from Adilabad, eight Bhadradri, 32 from areas under GHMC, six from Jagtiyal, three each from Jangaon and Bhupalpally, four from Kamareddy, 13 from Karimnagar, six from Khammam, two from Asifabad, four each from Mahabubnagar and Mahabubabad, nine from Mancherial, four from Medak, 12 from Medchal Malkajgiri, three from Mulugu, five from Nagarkurnool, six from Nalgonda, one from Narayanpet, two from Nirmal, five from Nizamabad, seven from Peddapally, four from Siricilla, 12 from Rangareddy, eight from Sangareddy, seven from Siddipet, four from Suryapet, three from Vikarabad, two from Wanaparthy, four from Warangal Rural, seven from Warangal Urban and two from Yadadri.
