COVID-19: 3052 cases and seven fatalities in Telangana on Monday

On Monday, the State had 24,131 active Covid cases out of which 16,118 cases were in home or institutional isolation, while 8,013 positive cases were under treatment in hospitals.

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 3052 Covid cases and seven fatalities, taking the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 3,32,581 and the total number of deaths to 1772.

On Monday, the State had 24,131 active Covid cases out of which 16,118 cases were in home or institutional isolation, while 8,013 positive cases were under treatment in hospitals.


The health department, between Sunday and Monday, has conducted 1, 13, 007 Covid rapid antigen tests.

Urban centres along with tier II and tier III towns have continued to drive the second wave of Covid pandemic across Telangana.

On Monday, 406 cases from areas under GHMC were reported while 301 were from Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

A total of 279 positive cases were reported from Nizamabad and 248 from Rangareddy district. In Jagtiyal, authorities reported 135 positive cases while 123 positive cases were reported from Sangareddy district. A total of 111 cases were also reported from Kamareddy district, 109 positive cases from Nalgonda and 113 cases from Nirmal district.

A total of 778 persons have recovered on Monday, taking the total recoveries in the State to 3, 06, 678 with a recovery rate of 92.21 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 89.5 percent. So far, a total of 1, 11, 81, 010 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 3, 32, 581 have tested positive.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 98 from Adilabad, 44 from Bhadradri, 406 from areas under GHMC, 135 from Jagtiyal, 32 from Jangaon, 14 each from Bhupalpally and Gadwal, 111 from Kamareddy, 87 from Karimnagar, 95 from Khammam, 27 from Asifabad, 97 from Mahabubnagar, 18 from Mahabubabad,  78 from Mancherial, 23 from Medak,  301 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, 52 from Nagarkurnool, 109 rom Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 113 from Nirmal, 279 from Nizamabad, 49 from Peddapalli, 61 from Siricilla, 248 from Rangareddy, 123 from Sangareddy, 79 from Siddipet, 63 from Suryapet 61 from Vikarabad, 50 from Wanaparthy, 24 from Warangal Rural, 84 from Warangal Urban and 53 from Yadadri.
