Covid-19: Telangana records 997 new cases and four deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 997 new Covid-19 infections and four fatalities on Thursday taking the overall toll to 1,397 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,55,663. As on Thursday, there were 17,094 active Covid-19 cases in the State.
A total of 1,222 persons recovered on Thursday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,37,172 with a recovery rate of 92.76 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 92.90 per cent.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, 42,613 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the State and reports of another 391 samples are awaited. So far, a total of 48,12,167 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,55,663 have tested positive and 2,37,172 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 18 from Adilabad, 65 from Bhadradri, 169 from areas under GHMC, 23 from Jagitial, 11 from Jangaon, 16 from Bhupalpally, 10 from Gadwal, 22 from Kamareddy, 49 from Karimnagar, 44 from Khammam, 18 from Mahabubnagar, 20 from Mahabubabad, 19 each from Mancherial, 16 from Medak, 85 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 21 from Mulugu, 25 from Nagarkurnool, 46 from Nalgonda, six from Narayanpet, 13 from Nirmal, 22 from Nizamabad, 21 from Pedapalli, 24 from Sircilla, 66 from Rangareddy, 24 from Sangareddy, 18 from Siddipet, 30 from Suryapet, 12 from Vikarabad, 10 from Wanaparthy, 12 from Warangal Rural, 44 from Warangal Urban and 18 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
