Covid-19 update: 1,097 cases, six deaths in Telangana on Sunday

A total of 268 persons recovered on Sunday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 3,02,768 at a recovery rate of 96.65 percent.

Hyderabad: There were 1,097 new Covid-19 infections and six fatalities in Telangana on Sunday, taking the cumulative number of fatalities to 1723 while the total number of positive cases was 3,13,237. As on Sunday, there were 8,746 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

Among urban centres in Telangana, areas under GHMC have reported 302 new infections while Medchal-Malkajgiri has reported 138 Covid infections. Areas under Rangareddy district have reported 116 Covid infections while another 77 cases were reported from Nizamabad.

Between Saturday and Sunday, 43,070 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 1965 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 1,04,35,997 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 24 from Adilabad, five from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 302 from areas under GHMC, 32 from Jagityal, eight from Jangaon, 12 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, six from Jogulamba Gadwal, 28 from Kamareddy, 38 from Karimnagar, 11 from Khammam, four from Asifabad, 22 from Mahabubnagar, seven from Mahabubabad, 18 from Mancherial, eight from Medak, 138 from Medchal Malkajgiri, one from Mulugu, 15 from Nagarkurnool, 16 from Nalgonda, five from Narayanpet, 42 from Nirmal, 77 from Nizamabad, six from Peddapalli, 15 from Rajanna Siricilla, 116 from Rangareddy, 52 from Sangareddy, 18 from Siddipet, 14 from Suryapet, nine from Vikarabad, six from Wanaparthy, seven from Warangal Rural, 28 from Warangal Urban and seven from Yadadri-Bhongir.
