Covid-19 vaccine fraud: Fraudster cheated Telugu film production house too
The cheating came to light only after Suresh Babu’s manager approached the Jubilee Hills police and lodged a complaint. Following this, a case was booked and investigation took up.
Hyderabad: Nagarjuna Reddy, the person who was recently arrested by the Hyderabad Cybercrime police on charges of cheating a vernacular TV channel in the guise of providing Covid vaccines at a cheap rate was also involved in cheating Suresh Productions Pvt Ltd, one of Tollywood’s leading production houses helmed by producer Suresh Babu.
Reddy, had in the last week of May called the production house claiming to be calling from a minister’s office offering to provide vaccination for Rs 100 per dose.
The management, which believed it to be a good deal, paid Rs 1 lakh for the vaccination drive for its nearly 1,000 employees. However, after receiving money, Reddy stopped responding.

The Hyderabad Cybercrime police had eight days ago arrested Nagarjuna Reddy on charges of cheating a vernacular TV channel to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakh in the guise of providing vaccinations to its employees at a cheaper rate.
