Covid curfew: Relaxation timings extended in 8 AP districts

Curfew will be relaxed from 6 am to 9 pm in Anantapur, Kurnool, Guntur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, YSR Kadapa, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore and Srikakulam districts

Tadepalli: Andhra Pradesh government has further relaxed the curfew timings in eight districts where the Covid positivity rate is less than five per cent–in Anantapur, Kurnool, Guntur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, YSR Kadapa, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore and Srikakulam districts.

Curfew will be relaxed from 6 am. to 9 pm. in these eight districts and all shops and establishments will have to close by 9 pm. The night curfew will continue from 9 p.m. to 6 am. The new timings will be effective from July 1 to 7.


Any decision to completely lift the curfew in these districts will be taken after reviewing the COVID positivity there.

In the rest of the five districts–East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Chittoor and Prakasam, curfew will be relaxed from 6 a.m. to 6 pm.
