Covid surge: AP govt suspends classes for 1 to 9 students

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh government has declared holidays for classes 1 to 9 all over the state from Tuesday in the wake of COVID situation in the state.

However, the Tenth class and Intermediate examinations would be held as scheduled following Covid norms, Minister for Education Adimulapu Suresh said here on Monday.

The decision to go ahead with the examinations was taken as the students should not lose academic year, he explained.
