Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Saidabad on Thursday, when several activists of Bajrang Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party staged a protest condemning the alleged attack on the cow vigilantes by the members of another community at Karmanghat.
The protestors gathered at IS Sadan and burnt effigies and tried to take out a protest rally, resulting in traffic congestion on the busy junction.
However, the Saidabad police stopped them and took the protesters into preventive custody. They were let off later in the evening.
