Khammam: Commissioner of Police, Sunil Dutt advised medical students not to ruin their lives by ragging fellow students.

The CP along with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) secretary KV Chandra Shekar Rao addressed students of Khammam Government Medical College. The DLSA organised an anti-ragging awareness seminar for the college students on Tuesday.

Dutt said that ragging was banned in the educational institutions in the country and strict action would be taken if anyone resorts to ragging fellow students. He told the students to inform the teachers immediately if anyone troubled them by ragging.

Every student should know the law to stay away from problems. Students should pay attention to their education and pave the way for a golden future and rise to a higher level. Students should maintain brotherhood and not to invite trouble by being too fanatical, he suggested.

The CP clarified that committing ragging against juniors by seniors’ amounts to breaking of the law and no one should break the law. Town ACP Ramana Murthy was present.
