Hyderabad: The Communist Party of India (CPI), an ally of the Congress government in Telangana, has continued its criticism of the administration over what it called failures in development and welfare.

CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao once again voiced his dissatisfaction after previously raising concerns in the Assembly about the lack of funds for his constituency.

Speaking at the Prajapalana 99 Days programme held at the bus stand in Kothagudem on Thursday, he said the Congress government lacks both vision and determination.

Highlighting infrastructure issues, he pointed out that around Rs.700 crore was required for the development of 143 RTC bus stands across the State. He alleged that the government has failed to allocate the necessary funds.

Expressing frustration, Sambasiva Rao said the situation had pushed him to the brink. My BP is shooting up in frustration and anger,” Sambasiva Rao said.

The Bhadradri Kothagudem MLA further said had it been him at the helm of affairs, things would have transformed in just one year.

“One needs to have determination, vision and intellect to achieve development,” Sambasiva Rao slammed.

Last week, during the Assembly session, the CPI MLA had also flagged delays in fund release. He said that even approved works by the Ministers were being held up as the finance department cited a shortage of funds. He also noted a lack of coordination among Ministers.
