Creativity helps people overcome hardships: Dr Raghuram
Renowned physician Dr Daram Raghuram unveiled ‘Maneru Teeram’, a bilingual Telugu-English poetry anthology by Sahitya Akademi awardee Varala Anand, in Karimnagar. He said creativity and poetry help people confront hardships while reflecting the deeper truths of life
Karimnagar: Renowned physician Dr Daram Raghuram opined that creativity helps everyone face hardships and difficulties.
He was speaking after unveiling a book ‘Maneru Teeram’, a bilingual poetry anthology written by Varala Anand, the Sahitya Akademi Translation Award recipient, on the bund of Lower Manair Dam here on Monday.
Raghuram remarked that the poems in ‘Maneru Teeram’ reveal the ultimate truth. There was hope in poems written amidst the struggles and battles of life itself.
He observed that the book published as a bilingual Telugu-English volume does not belong to a single language alone but to every human being.
Dr Udutha Chandrashekhar, senior journalists Ravikanti Srinivas and PS Ravindra, KS Ananthacharya, Varala Anand and others participated in the programme.
