HYDERABAD: Cricket Australia has recorded its highest individual day of ticket sales in history, setting a new benchmark for fan engagement and demand ahead of the 2025/26 international summer.
More than 160,000 tickets had been sold before the opening NRMA Insurance Ashes Test at Australia’s second largest venue, Perth Stadium, had gone on sale.
The previous record of 1,11,741 tickets sold in an individual day was set during the 2017/18 pre-sale, and was surpassed within five hours of tickets going on sale.
“The record demand for tickets shows the excitement fans are feeling about the fantastic international season to come. To surpass our previous ticket sales record even before NSW and WA tickets had gone on sale is a remarkable achievement and reaffirms our position as Australia’s national sport,” said Todd Greenberg, Cricket Australia.
“I would urge those who haven’t already bought their tickets to do so now as we expect allocations to be exhausted for some days. We can’t wait for an unforgettable summer of international cricket,” he said.
Fans can still sign up to pre-sale, see local on sale times and purchase their tickets at cricket.com.au/tickets/pre-sale
General public tickets will go on sale from June 13, fans are encouraged to secure their seats early to avoid missing out.
