Cricket: Hyderabad crash to 2nd successive defeat in Under-25 tourney

Hyderabad: Hyderabad crashed to their second successive defeat when they went down to Madhya Pradesh by 91 runs in the men’s under-25 plate league match at Rajkot, Saurashtra on Friday. Riding on Rishabh Chouhan 107-133 (12×4, 5×6), MP nade 261/8 in 50 overs and Hyderabad, in reply, were bowled out for 170 in 43.5 overs.

Batting first, MP were reduced to 64/5 before Chouhan and Aman Bahadoriya took the match away from Hyderabad with a 104-run for the sixth wicket. Left-arm spinner Hitesh Yadav was the most successful bowler taking 4/62.

For Hyderabad Sohail scored 51 and Nitesh Reddy (34) put on 55 runs for the third wicket. But once Nitesh departed, Hyderabad lost their way before succumbing to their second defeat.

Brief scores: Madhya Pradesh 261/8 in 50 overs (Rishabh Chouhan 133, Aman Bhadroiya 45, Hitesh Yadav 4/62) bt Hyderabad 170 in 43.5 overs (Abhirath Reddy 36, Sohail 51, K Nitesh Reddy 34, Bhadoriya 4/32, Adheer Pratap Singh 4/35).
