Hyderabad: Cricketer and East Delhi Lok Sabha MP Gautam Gambhir on Saturday participated in Green India Challenge at his residence in New Delhi.
The co-founder of the initiative Sri Raghav presented him with the Vruksha Vedam book and explained to him about its contents.
Gambhir lauded the efforts of Green India Challenge and its founder and Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar in expanding the green cover across Telangana and the country.
“I’m very happy to take part in the programme. I urge every person to plant at least one sapling and do their bit for the environment,” he said, adding that he would take forward this programme by challenging three more people to take part in the same from his Twitter handle.
