Hyderabad: Rishabh Pant continues to impress the cricketing world with his innovating shots. He stunned everyone when he played a reverse scoop to James Anderson in the fourth Test, that too against the new ball, leaving everyone in a shock.
The youngster did it once again, this time against Jofra Archer in the T20 match that England won on Friday. Coming to bat at No.4 after Virat Kohli’s departure, the southpaw hit Archer for a six with the reverse scoop.
“Holy smokes! Pant has just played the greatest shot that’s ever been played in cricket. Reverse sweeping/lifting Archer with a brand new white ball at 90mph for 6,” wrote former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen.

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman is also impressed with the shot. He wrote, “What a incredible shot from @RishabhPant17 Looking forward to him bailing the team out this terrible situation just like he did in the last few Tests.”
