Jayashankar Bhupalpally: A constable of the 58th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died of electrocution at Maha Mutharam police station in the district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Pavan Singh (36), a native of Haryana.
Sources said Pavan Singh was electrocuted while he was checking an electric wire in a shuttle court in the police station since the lights were not functioning. Fellow policemen rushed him to a hospital in Bhupalpally, but the doctors declared him brought dead. Maha Mutharam police registered a case and sent the body for postmortem.
