New Delhi: Crude oil prices fell by Rs 168 to Rs 9,590 per barrel in futures trade on Friday amid weak global trends.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for October delivery slipped by Rs 168, or 1.72 per cent, to Rs 9,590 per barrel, with a business turnover of 4,478 lots.

Analysts said prices fell after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 1.73 per cent lower at USD 100.15 per barrel, while Brent crude declined 1.88 per cent to USD 102.85 per barrel in New York.
