CS Somesh Kumar asks Hyderabad Metro to extend timings
Somesh Kumar complimented Hyderabad Metro Rail officials for providing good service by maintaining safety protocols in metro stations during these Covid times

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Monday instructed the Hyderabad Metro Rail to extend its services by another hour. Accordingly, from Tuesday, the last train in each direction will now leave the terminal station at 1 pm instead of 11.45 am and reach the destination stations at 2 pm. There is however no change in the starting time and the first train will start from the terminal stations at 7 am.
Earlier, Somesh Kumar complimented Hyderabad Metro Rail officials for providing good service by maintaining safety protocols in metro stations during these Covid times. He was interacting with them after travelling in a metro from the Khairatabad Station to Ameerpet to oversee the safety arrangements put in place at the Metro stations. The Chief Secretary was accompanied by HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy, L&T HMRL MD KVB Reddy and other officials.
During the journey, Somesh Kumar also interacted with passengers and enquired about the Metro services and safety measures. The commuters appreciated the facilities and safety arrangements in the metro stations. It was based on their request to extend the timings that the Chief Secretary issued instructions, so as to enable passengers reach their destinations comfortably after closure of offices and business establishments.
