Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar underlined the need to have a clear understanding of the vision of Environment Protection, Training, Research Institute (EPTRI) and directed the officials to identify people from various prestigious academic institutions to take up projects related to climate change, environmental impact assessment and waste management.
Somesh Kumar, who presided over a meeting of EPTRI here on Wednesday, asked the officials to come up with an action plan to transform EPTRI as world class institution in accordance with the vision of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
The need for improving human resources and focus on research was also discussed during the meeting. It was also decided to conduct monthly meetings to formulate a more aggressive market driven approach.
He suggested that at least two workshops should be conducted every year to enhance the brand value of the organization.
