Cub Fights boxing: Gnaneshwar knocks Keshav out

Hyderabad: Gnaneshwar Kumar knocked out Chenna Keshav Reddy in the third round to win his bout in the Club Fights ‘A New Tomorrow’, being organised by Red Corner Sports Promotions & Palmsprings Motors, at the LB Stadium on Saturday night.

In another match, Savio Michael knocked out Kundeti Raju in the fourth round.

Meanwhile, Sports Minister V Srininvas Goud said sports are returning to action post Covid-19 hiatus and lauded the events like Club Fights will help boost the morale of the athletes.

Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy also lauded the organisers.

Results: G Vijay Kumar bt Trijot Singh 39-38,38-38,38-38;
Suresh Pasham bt Abhinay Kumar 40-36, 40-36, 40-36;
Nitin Raj bt Kuthadi Arvind 37-39, 39-37, 40-36;
Gnaneshwar Kumar T KO Chenna Keshav Reddy (3rd round)
Savio Michaal KO Kundeti Raju (4th round).
