Customs seize Rs 3 crore worth of drones, iPhones, iWatches at Hyderabad airport
Customs at Hyderabad’s RGIA seized Rs 3 crore worth of drones, iPhones, iWatches, and gaming consoles from two passengers arriving from Abu Dhabi. Officials suspect a larger smuggling network and have taken the duo into custody for further investigation.

Hyderabad: A major smuggling attempt was busted at the RGIA on Tuesday night, with the customs officials seizing drones, iPhones, and iWatches worth Rs 3 crore allegedly being illegally brought from Abu Dhabi.
As per available information, the CISF vigilance team caught two passengers identified as Mohd Jahangir from Chennai and C Jayaram Raju from Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, who were allegedly trying to evade Customs checks.
Their luggage was searched, leading to the discovery of 8 high-end drones, 65 iPhones, 50 iWatches, and 4 video game consoles concealed inside their bags.
Both passengers had arrived on Etihad Airways flight EY-328 from Abu Dhabi.
Customs officials have taken the duo into custody for further investigation, suspecting a larger network involved in smuggling expensive electronic goods from Gulf countries.
