Cyberabad Commissionerate wins Overall Championship at Police Duty Meet

Telangana DGP, Dr. Jitender, along with Director General of Prisons Dr. Soumya Mishra participated in the closing ceremony of the three-day second Telangana Police Duty Meet held at PTC Mamnoor by Warangal Police Commissionerate

Warangal: Police officers could ensure justice to the people only when they demonstrate the best skills in their profession, opined Director General of Police Dr. Jitender.

The DGP along with Director General of Prisons Dr. Soumya Mishra participated in the closing ceremony of the three-day second Telangana Police Duty Meet held at PTC Mamnoor by Warangal Police Commissionerate, on Saturday night.

The officials presented trophies to the police wings that won championships in various categories. Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, which won the most medals in these competitions, received the Overall Championship Trophy from the DGP.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jitender congratulated the police personnel and officers who won in the competitions and said it could serve as an inspiration to win medals in the upcoming National Police Duty Meet.

Through the duty meet the police would be able to gain skills and expertise in their profession and thus ensure better policing. These duty meets would also be helpful to the police officers in conducting investigations, he noted.

DGP Prisons Dr. Soumya Mishra said that she was happy to attend the state-level duty closing ceremony in Warangal for the second time while recalling the duty meet organised when he was the SP. It would be planned to organise a duty meet at the state level in the prisons department as well, she informed.

The cultural programmes organised later and the fireworks show entertained the audience. Multi Zone IGP Chandrasekhar Reddy, CID DIG Narayana Naik, Warangal and Hanamkonda district Collectors, Dr. Satya Sarada and Sneha Shibarish, Bhupalpalli and Mahabubabad SPs Kiran Karge and Sudhir Kekan, PTC Principal Pooja, NPDCL CMD K Varun Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Chahat Bajaj and others were present.
