Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar flagged off a Vehicle-Mounted man-lifter ladder on Thursday. This hydraulic lift will be utilised for the maintenance of CCTV cameras installed in the Cyberabad jurisdiction.
Cyberabad DCP Traffic Vijay Kumar, also initiated a new technical team – Nighanetram, comprising 21 newly recruit constables. This team has been trained in technically maintaining CCTV cameras to help combat crime. The team has brought over 530 cameras into working condition in three weeks and the newly launched ladder will ease their work and make it safer for them.
A committee is also formed in association with Society for Cyberabad Security Council, called Nighanetram Committee which will work towards procuring funds, cameras, spares, cables, etc and to help the technical team in their functioning.
Award for four IPS officers
Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar was among the five IPS officers selected for the Utkrisht Seva Padak for the year 2020 in recognition of their long and unblemished service during the last 15 years with certain levels of professional excellence.
The four other IPS officers who got Utkrisht Seva Padak are Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar, Joint Commissioners of Police, East and Central zones, M Ramesh and P Viswa Prasad and Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Devendra Singh Chauhan.
