Cyberabad cyber crime police arrest 27 persons in 19 fraud cases

The Cyberabad cyber crime police arrested 27 people in 19 cases, most linked to trading fraud, in the past week. They also secured 272 court refund orders worth Rs 1.56 crore and urged citizens to stay alert against scams

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad cyber crime police arrested 27 persons involved in 19 cases in the last one week. Of the total 27 arrests, 19 were linked to trading fraud.

The police seized eight mobile phones, six SIM cards, 13 cheque books and other documents from them.


A total of 13 cases pertain to trading fraud, four to part-time job fraud, and one each to business fraud and cyber stalking.

The cyber crime police station also successfully processed and obtained 272 refund orders in 80 cases from the court for an amount of Rs 1.56 crore.

The police advised citizens to be cautious about investment and trading scams.
