Hyderabad: To improve traffic movement, new connectivity options, including elevated corridors-cum-RoBs towards Miyapur Metro Station and Mayuri Nagar, were examined by Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G Srijana.

The Commissioner, along with officials, conducted a field visit to examine possible connectivity options across the Lingampally-Borabanda MMTS railway line on Thursday.

The field review focused on improving traffic movement between the HKC, Financial District and Kokapet areas and Kukatpally, Nizampet and Mayuri Nagar, besides assessing the need for additional connectivity across the railway line.

The connectivity options examined on the ground included new elevated corridors-cum-RoBs towards Miyapur Metro Station and Mayuri Nagar, and connectivity from Shilpa Layout towards JNTU Metro Station and Nizampet X Roads, including the possibility of an underpass.

The widening of Hafeezpet and Kukatpally RoBs from four lanes to six lanes and connectivity from Khaithalapur RoB to Kukatpally Highway through GOCL Road were examined, apart from road widening from NIA Junction near Yashoda Hospital towards Kondapur through the Hitex-Mundikunta stretch.
