Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty paid tribute to the police martyrs on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day on Tuesday.
Following a ceremonial guard of honour, the commissioner offered floral tributes and observed two minutes of silence in memory of the fallen heroes.
Officials announced the names of 191 police personnel nationwide who lost their lives in the line of duty. A roll call of honor was conducted to recognise those who sacrificed their lives in the past.
The Commissioner further honoured the families of police personnel.
Similar Police Commemoration Day events were organised in Hyderabad and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates.
