Cyberabad Police Commissioner suspends two cops

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M Stephen Raveendra placed Narsingi Inspector M Gangadhar and Sub-Inspector Laxman under suspension on Sunday.

The policemen are facing allegations of interfering in civil matters particularly land disputes. On complaint, an inquiry was done and both were placed under suspension.


Sources said the Inspector had filed a case against some persons with regard to land disputes falling on the border of RC Puram police station and Narsingi police station limits. However, the persons went to High Court against registering of FIR against them and also made a complaint to the then Commissioner VC Sajjanar.

In a swift move, the Cyberabad Commissioner appointed B Shiva Kumar as the new Inspector of Police for Narsingi police station. He assumed the charge on Sunday immediately on getting the orders.
