Cyberabad police invoke PD Act against rowdy sheeter in murder cases

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr M Ramesh invoked the PD Act against rowdy sheeter Thanugundla Bala Showreddy alias Badsha, accused in multiple murder cases between 2023 and 2025. Police said he continued criminal activities even after being released on bail.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Dr M Ramesh, on Saturday invoked Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act against a rowdy sheeter of Jagathgirigutta police station.

The man, Thanugundla Bala Showreddy alias Badsha, against whom a rowdy sheet is maintained at Jagathgirigutta police station, is involved in several cases, including murder and attempt to murder.


“Between 2023 and 2025, the man had committed two murders, including one in broad daylight. After release on bail, he resumed his activities, following which the PD Act was invoked against him,” said M Ramesh, CP Cyberabad.
