Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar issued orders under the Preventive Detention Act against B Murali, a spurious seeds trader here on Tuesday.
Murali, a resident of Kondurg who runs a seeds and fertilizers shop, sold spurious cotton seeds to farmers, thereby cheating them and resulting in the failure in crops, police said. He was arrested by the Kondurg police in June. The PD Act order was executed on him at the Central Prison in Cherlapally, where he is currently lodged.
