The Cyberabad She Teams caught 45 persons for harassing women during a special drive. They carried out 152 decoy operations, counselled families, rescued 15 persons from prostitution, and held awareness sessions on trafficking, cyber fraud, child marriages and women’s safety

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad She Teams caught 45 persons for harassing women in public places during a special drive conducted at various locations between August 24 and 30.

The Cyberabad Women Safety Wing officials said She Teams carried out 152 decoy operations and received 15 victim complaints through various platforms during the same period. Petty cases were booked and counselling sessions were conducted for the offenders.

The unit also counselled 23 families in marital disputes and attempted to reconcile them. The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) sensitised over 125 people on issues such as trafficking, cyber fraud, child marriages and cyber-bullying.

As many as 15 persons, including 13 transgender persons, were rescued from prostitution during night raids. Awareness programmes on safety and transportation were also conducted in schools.
