Cyberabad SOT busts interstate ganja racket, 6 arrested

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT), along with the Rajendranagar police, busted an interstate drug peddling racket and arrested a six-member gang, including a woman from Maharashtra, and seized 109 kgs of marijuana, 2 cars and Rs 6,000 in cash from them on Friday.
The arrested gang members are Prashant Ganesh, Lata Ganesh Jadhav, Sachin Dilip, Rohan Pandurang, Rahul Baburao, Gaurav Natekar and Pawan Deep. The gang had been involved in drug cases for the past four years, with similar cases earlier booked against them in Maharashtra.
Police said the gang procured marijuana from a drug dealer in Odisha and was smuggling it to Pune via Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad in two cars when they were nabbed on the Outer Ring Road at Rajendranagar.
The arrested persons and the seized material were handed over to the Rajendranagar police for further action.
