Cyberabad traffic police book 409 drunk driving offenders in special check
Cyberabad Traffic Police caught 409 drunk driving offenders, mostly two-wheeler riders, during a special check. BAC levels ranged from 35 mg/100 ml to 550 mg/100 ml. All offenders will face court proceedings, with fines and social service imposed in some cases.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police, during the special drunk driving check, caught 409 persons and booked cases against them. Among those caught are two-wheeler riders – 290, three-wheeler drivers – 23, four-wheeler drivers – 95 and a driver of a heavy vehicle.
A total of 352 persons had recorded BAC levels ranging between 35 mg/100 ml and 200 mg/100 ml, 37 persons had BAC levels ranging from 201 mg/100 ml to 300 mg/100 ml and 20 offenders had BAC levels ranging from 301 mg/100 ml to 550 mg/100 ml. All the persons will be presented before the court for legal proceedings, said an official of Cyberabad traffic police.
During the last week, the police presented 756 persons who were caught during drunk driving checks held in previous days before the court. While the court imposed a fine on 754 persons, the remaining two persons were asked to pay a fine and do social service.
