Cyclone to not have much effect on Hyderabad weather: IMD
The cyclonic storm over Arabian Sea, Tauktae, however, has brought down the maximum day time temperatures in Hyderabad by seven degrees to 32.6 degree Celsius
Hyderabad: After a day of heavy rains, the skies over Hyderabad on Monday cleared-up to welcome the sunshine. The cyclonic storm over Arabian Sea, Tauktae, however, has brought down the maximum day time temperatures in Hyderabad by seven degrees to 32.6 degree Celsius while the minimum temperatures in the evening hovered close to 25 degree Celsius.
“Massive cyclones sometimes throw out big clouds which can trigger rain. For now we are not expecting any rain in the city. However, the western districts of Telangana, which share border with Maharashtra, might experience some rainfall,” said Dr K Nagaratna, Director, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad.
It is likely that the weather will become hot in Hyderabad once the cyclonic storm over the Arabian Sea passes. Based on the IMD forecast, the city might witness light to moderate showers towards the evening between Monday and Wednesday. The IMD forecast says that there could be light to heavy rainfall across Telangana and its neighbouring States for the next four days due to the cyclone.
