Hyderabad: Cygnet. One announced its AI-powered GST Classification and Input Tax Credit (ITC) Eligibility Engine, a solution designed to validate and automate the processing of enterprise purchase invoices at scale.

Combining GST-aligned rule logic with artificial intelligence, the engine analyses invoice data, interprets transaction context and determines ITC eligibility at the invoice level, classifying each transaction under the appropriate GSTR-3B treatment with an explainable reasoning trail.

It automatically flags transactions involving reverse charge, imports and blocked credits, reducing manual reviews while building audit readiness into the process by design.

The workflow begins with the ingestion of raw invoice data into Cygnet. One’s AI engine. Within this central processing hub, an AI component performs description and context analysis alongside a rule-engine module. The two exchange information iteratively to ensure that invoice data is interpreted correctly and in accordance with GST law and organisational policy, a press release said.

Once processing is complete, the system delivers three outputs designed to improve tax and audit efficiency: accurate ITC eligibility at the invoice level, structured GSTR-3B data ready for regulatory filing, and an audit-ready reasoning trail that gives tax and audit teams a transparent record of how each classification was reached, it added.
