Ram Gopal Varma is banking on the success formula of underworld themed movies like Satya and Company. He is now back with his latest release D Company. The trailer of the film released recently reveals the story of a young man who climbs up the ladder to become the most dreadful don of the city while keeping the police on their toes.

The film is set in the 1980s and shows how a crime syndicate formed by a few individuals ruled the city. The famous 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts and how gangsters and lower-rung criminals earned a name under the shadow of ‘D Company, are the many elements of the complex plot.

From the dialogues to the camera visuals and cinematic frames, it’s a package with an RGVish touch. Ashwat Kanth Sharma is making his debut as the lead actor while Naina Ganguly and Irra Mor play the female leads. The film is produced by Sagar Machanuru on Spark Production Company. The movie is currently in the post-production stage, ‘D Company’ will release in theatres on March 26.
