Hyderabad: A six-day D Sons Patola Art Exhibition, featuring a rich variety of traditional textiles and handcrafted items from across India, was inaugurated at the Labels Pop-up Space, Road No. 1, opposite Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills.
Noted playback singer Gayatri Vedantham, who inaugurated the unique Patola exhibition, said, “It’s wonderful to see a diverse collection of apparel, especially Patola art sarees, pure handloom, and silk products, showcased under one roof in the city.”
The exhibition offers a wide range of unique collections, such as Patan Patola, Bandhani, Banarasi, Paithani, Kashmiri, Maheshwari, Kanchipuram, Gadwal, Lucknowi, Ajrak sarees, suits, kurtis, dress material, bedsheets, and jewellery.
The exhibition, which will continue until October 18, provides a unique platform for textile lovers and artisans. The main social objective of the exhibition is to promote weavers and encourage the handloom industry by providing a market for their products. Through these exhibitions, organisers have created a solid market for weavers and their handloom woven items.
