D Srinivasa Reddy receives prestigious CRSI Silver Medal
D Srinivasa Reddy, Director of CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, has been awarded the CRSI Silver Medal for his outstanding contributions to chemical research, medicinal chemistry and scientific leadership. The honour recognises his pioneering work, research publications, patents and innovations in chemical sciences.

Hyderabad: Dr D Srinivasa Reddy, Director of Hyderabad-based CSIR-IICT, has been conferred the CRSI Silver Medal by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to chemical research and scientific leadership, a press release on Monday said.
Dr Reddy is an internationally acclaimed organic chemist whose pioneering research in natural product synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery has significantly advanced the frontiers of chemical sciences, IICT said.
A recipient of several prestigious honours, including the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, the J C Bose National Fellowship, and fellowships of India’s leading science academies, he has authored over 160 research publications, secured numerous patents, and developed impactful technologies with translational and industrial relevance.
The CRSI Silver Medal is one of the most prestigious recognitions conferred to honour scientists who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to chemical sciences through high-quality research and innovation. Widely held as a mark of distinction within the scientific community, the CRSI Silver Medal acknowledges exceptional achievements and enduring impact in chemical research, the press release added.
