D Sripadarao Memorial Chess Championship from August 29 in Hyderabad

The D Sripadarao Memorial All India Open Chess Championship (below ELO 1600) will be held in Hyderabad from August 29-31, offering ₹8 lakh prize money, with registrations closing on August 27

Hyderabad: The D Sripadarao Memorial All India Open Chess Championship (below ELO 1600) will be held at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium here from August 29 to 31 with a total prize money of Rs 8 lakhs.

Players with no rating and those having a present rating of 1599 or below are eligible to participate.


To encourage age-category players, the best five boys and girls in the Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15 categories will each be given Rs 5,000.
