Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A daily wager sustained injuries when a wild boar attacked him on the outskirts of Sarsala village in Kaghaznagar mandal on Friday. He was shifted to a hospital in Kaghaznagar and his medical condition is known to be stable.
Kaghaznagar Forest Range Officer K Shiva Kumar department said that the injured was Injiri Pentaiah (42), a tribal daily earner of the village. Pentaiah received injuries on his legs and forehead when the wild boar gored him when he was moving on the fringes of the forest near the village at around 6 am. He managed to reach home, with bleeding wounds. The ferocious wild pig, which was with its cubs, attacked him, a local told ‘Telangana Today.’
“The victim was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Kaghaznagar. His medical condition is out of danger,” Shiva Kumar stated. The forester further said that expenses involved in the treatment would be borne by the department. Compensation would be extended to the daily earner soon. He requested the rural folks not to venture into deep forests and to avoid sudden confrontation with wild animals, which would result in attacking humans and human-animal conflict.
Foresters began a probe into the incident by gathering evidence.
