Daily-wage earner stabbed to death by brother-in-law in Adilabad

Police said that one Mahender (40), daily wage earner from Thantholi village died on the spot after suffering profuse bleeding when he was stabbed by his wife Navitha's brother Kurma Ashok

Adilabad: A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his brother-in-law following family disputes at Ruyyadi village in Talamadugu mandal on Tuesday. The incident created a flutter in the village.

Police said that one Mahender (40), daily wage earner from Thantholi village died on the spot after suffering profuse bleeding when he was stabbed by his wife Navitha’s brother Kurma Ashok. Mahender was alone at the time of the incident.


According to the police, Ashok picked an argument with Mahender for harassing his sister after being addicted to liquor for quite long time. He in fit of rage stabbed Mahender, who died due to serious injuries. Ashok fled the spot after committing the offence. Neighbors noticed the body and alerted the police, who in turn rushed to the spot and began investigations into the incident.
