Dairy owner arrested for selling adulterated ghee in Masab Tank
A dairy unit owner was arrested in Masab Tank for allegedly manufacturing and selling adulterated ghee by mixing palm oil and vanaspati with cream. Officials seized goods worth Rs 18.26 lakh during a joint Task Force operation.

Hyderabad: A dairy unit owner was nabbed for allegedly manufacturing and selling adulterated ghee at Masab Tank on Wednesday.
The suspect, identified as Mohd Junaid Hussain (28), was nabbed during a joint raid by the Task Force and Masab Tank police.
Police said Hussain, who runs a dairy unit at Bholanagar in Banjara Hills, was found mixing palm oil, vanaspati and other low-grade substances with cow and buffalo cream to produce spurious ghee.
“Those products were further being marketed as pure ghee to customers, including hotels and event organisers, posing a serious threat to public health,” police said.
During the operation, officials seized 460 kg of adulterated ghee, 70 kg of mixed ghee, 2,090 kg of cow cream and 1,170 kg of buffalo cream and other equipment used in the manufacturing process was seized.
The total value of the seized property is estimated at Rs 18.26 lakh. Masab Tank police are investigating.
