Dalit Bandhu instills confidence among Dalits: Gangula Kamalakar

Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister, Gangula Kamalakar opined that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has filled confidence among dalits by introducing Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme.
As part of election campaign, Minister on Saturday morning toured in Dalit colony, 12th ward of Huzurabad town and Bornapalli, Indiranagar and BC colony and interacted with local people.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamalakar said that people usually put their demands before political leaders when the latter visit their localities. However, the situation was different in Huzurabad. Local people, especially women, were eagerly waiting for him and giving warm reception whenever he visited their localities.
He was informed by the local people that they have been utilized as vote bank by political parties as well as previous Chief Ministers. However, they got confidence to feed their children and families after the launch of Dalit Bandhu scheme by the Chief Minister Chandrashekahar Rao. It was materialized only because of the formation of Telangana state.
In order to develop dalit and other weaker sections financially, Chandrashekahar Rao waged agitation for separate state and achieved it. As part of it, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, 24 hours free current, Kaleshwaram project, Dalit Bandhu and other schemes were introduced, minister said.
Suicides among farmers were stalled with initiatives taken by the government. Dalits, BCs, and other weaker sections were leading happy lives in the Chandrashekhar Rao regime. People, especially women, were promising to exercise their vote to the TRS party, the minister informed, he said.
On the other hand, about 100 youth from Huzurabad town joined the TRS party in the presence of Kamalakar and former Minister E Peddireddy in a programme held in the town.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said attracted by developmental programmes and welfare schemes being implemented in Telangana, scores of youth were coming forward to join TRS. Youth as well as women were joining the party in a big way across the constituency.
The Union government led by BJP was cheating the youth. So, youth should teach a befitting lesson to BJP by defeating its candidate in by-election.
Stating that victory of TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav was final, he said they were striving hard to get highest majority
