Hyderabad: A dance master, who took to chain snatching was arrested by the SR Nagar police here on Saturday.
The suspect Ch Vinod (27), a native of Narketpally in Nalgonda district, was staying in a men’s hostel in Madhura Nagar here and teaching dance to children and youngsters, in a private dance academy.
Police said Vinod, who lost his job owing to the pandemic last year, could not find another suitable job and borrowed hand loans from friends. To repay them, he decided to commit chain snatchings.
As per his plan, he targeted a woman software employee at the Madhura Nagar metro station and snatched her gold chain on Friday. Following a complaint, the SR Nagar police with the help of CCTV footage, identified and nabbed him.
